Restauranthesis: Annapurna, Vasco

Vasco, Goa

I have never written about Udipi restaurants as people are happy to experiment with them and they are pretty much standardized in Mumbai however when in Goa finding a good breakfast that too vegetarian can be a challenge and hence I am compelled to speak to about this Udipi called Annapurna in Vasco, about 7 kms (15 minute drive) from the Dabolim airport, it is certainly worth the commute.

Breakfast Annapurna Goa

This place is no frill sporting the standard Udipiesque layout with A/C section on the first floor. We settled on the first, a thing that impressed me that despite we being  the first in there and the place had their A/C  in full blast, smelt very fresh and were ready for service unlike many other places where the A/C  comes on when they have patrons walking in.  There was more surprise in store when the server after presenting menus came back with the newspapers for us. We thought this seldom happens in even the best of hotels!  We quickly ordered the standard south Indian fare, the food came out in no time and not exaggerating we were very pleased to have such good food. A very heavy breakfast for 3 came at Rs 400. So next time at Dabolim, you know where to go.

P.S: Please do let us know if you have anything closer. In fact we started with the Bogmalo Beach resort but were appalled by the presentation more than the selection.
